UN experts join survivors of the 1988 massacre in urging accountability for ongoing crimes against humanity in Iran

15 February 2024 – The UN Special Rapporteur on Iran and the Chair-Rapporteur of the UN Working Group on Enforced Disappearances joined survivors of the 1988 massacre and victims’ families in calling for an independent international inquiry into the mass extra-judicial executions and enforced disappearances of thousands of political prisoners in Iran.
