Signatories Of Open Letter To UN Human Rights Council - 25 January 2022

More than 460 current and former United Nations officials, human rights and legal experts, and international NGOs and academic institutions have written to the UN Human Rights Council calling for an international inquiry into the 1988 massacre of thousands of political prisoners in Iran. The letter urges the HRC to challenge the impunity enjoyed by Iranian officials by mandating an international investigation into the 1988 mass executions and enforced disappearances. Read the full text of the letter.

The JVMI issued a press release about the open letter on 27 January. Read our statement here.
