Position during 1988 massacre: Shari’a Judge; member of Rasht “Death Commission”
Present post and occupation: Runs a law firm
At the time of the mass executions, he was the Shari’a Judge of Rasht and a top member of the “Death Commission” in that city. With the help of another mullah by the name of Heydari and other members of the “Death Commission” in court sessions that lasted only a few minutes, he had allegedly ordered the execution of large numbers of political prisoners.
Allegedly, he was active in suppression and execution of dissidents in Mazandaran and Gilan Provinces throughout the 1980s as a Shari’a Judge.
